Entering barrel at 120 proof and aged for an average of 3 years, Fort Hamilton �Double Barrel� is a marriage of 25% NY Rye (distilled at Taconic Distillery and aged in 25 gallon Barrels from Kelvin Cooperage, Char #3) & 75% MGP Rye (Indiana, aged in 53 gallon barrels from Independent Stave, Char #3), with the same 95% Rye/5% Barley mash bill as Fort Hamilton Single Barrel Rye. Post aging, these spirits are blended together for consistency of flavor profile and proofed down to 46%, before bottling. Fort Hamilton �Double Barrel� is non-chilled filtered, leading to additional texture and complexity.
